BZR Advisors was created as a result of a chance meeting at an industry trade show between Jim and Mike. They both had been paying close attention to the consolidation that was occurring across specialty contracting and building services and quickly realized that the skill sets they possessed were quite complementary in nature and when combined, would make an ideal partner for entities looking to create buy and build platforms

JIM ZIMINSKI
Managing Partner
Jim has spent his entire career in the building products and service industries, both in manufacturing and service/retail. He is a growth minded visionary leader with a track record of success. He successfully rebranded a vinyl siding company called VIPCO into Crane Performance Siding and ultimately Exterior Portfolio by Crane. They were seen as the innovators in the vinyl siding industry with products such as CraneBoard and Architectural Essentials. They created the entire insulated siding category segment. Jim led the successful sale of that company and later ran the entire sales and marketing groups for Royal Building Products to whom the company was sold.
Jim then rejoined Crane Group as the President of AMC (Able, Mr. Roof and Contractors Inc.). He rebranded this company as well this time to Crane Renovation Group and set upon an aggressive growth plan, doubling the company in his 7 years of leadership. He reorganized the business into two distinct groups, residential and commercial. Jim then transitioned to Crane Group to help with their aggressive growth acquisitions plan.
Jim’s passion for growth in the building products and service industry led to the formation of BZR Advisors with his partner Mike Blumenfeld. BZR Advisors are the buy side advisors to rapidly growing platforms of commercial and residential service providers
Jim has served on numerous Boards including, Directions for Youth, Crittenton Community School, The Charles School as Vice Chair and Treasurer, and Chair of VSI. He has been a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2008. In his spare time Jim is an avid outdoorsman enjoying skiing, mountain biking and mountain adventures as well as coaching and mentoring his twin daughters. He is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Marketing.
MIKE BLUMENFELD
Managing Partner
Michael A. Blumenfeld has 32 years of experience in the investment banking, capital markets, and asset management sectors. In 2014, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Mike has advised for transactions in technology, value added distribution, retail, and all types of building materials.

In 2016 Michael sourced the platform acquisition that created Artisan Design Group. He also advised the company on 20+ add on transactions in the next 5 years that helped the company grow from $120M to over $2B in revenue. ADG was purchased by Lowe's in 2025.

Mike possesses specialized expertise in identifying platform opportunities and executing complex consolidation strategies.
